Administration & Database Volunteer – National Churches Trust

Gain research & administrative experience in a small friendly charity 1-2 days a week, learning to use the fundraising database ‘Raiser’s Edge’ and other office administration skills.

The National Churches Trust is the only independent, UK-wide charity that supports and promotes church buildings of historic, architectural and community value. Our aims are to provide support, including direct financial assistance, to the repair, maintenance and improvement of church buildings; to promote the value of church buildings to the community at large; and to act as a catalyst to bring more resources to their support.

We are looking for a volunteer, available 1-2 days a week, to help with database and administration tasks at our London office. Tasks will involve basic training on the fundraising database ‘Raiser’s Edge’ and the grants management database ‘Benefactor’; electronic photo storage; data entry and record management. Creating files and filing paper correspondence may also be required. Candidates should feel comfortable using Microsoft Office and be capable of learning basic skills for managing a database.

This is a great opportunity to work in a small friendly office and gain experience in the charity sector, learning to use the fundraising database ‘Raiser’s Edge’ and other office administration skills.

We are based near to Barbican tube station in the City of London

This opportunity would be particularly suitable for those wishing to enhance their CV for charity and/or heritage sector work, such as a student or recent graduate; recent retirees or for those changing careers and those who have an affinity with heritage or interest in church buildings and helping communities.

Please email recruitment@nationalchurchestrust.org with an up to date CV and a covering letter detailing your skills and experience to undertake this role, as well as what you hope to gain out of the position. Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed. We are an equal opportunities employer (assistance will be given whenever required and the volunteer will not be expected to work without an experienced staff member being on hand).
