Climb 135 ft (41m) to the top of one of the 'Seven Wonders of Wales'.
Learn about the ancient skills of bellringing in the Ringing Room and see the only peal of ten bells in North Wales, which are nearly 300 years old.
At the top, get up close to medieval pinnacles with carvings of heads and faces. View amazing panoramic views of Wrexham and, on a good day, see as far as the Berwyn Hills, the Mersey Estuary and the Cheshire Plains.

Our start times can depend on the weather and time of year, and the tour lasts 1 hour. We can arrange a bespoke tour for Groups, please get in touch. Some Tower Climbs may be postponed due to church services or bad weather. All Tower Climbs are subject to volunteer availability.
No unaccompanied children under the age of 12 are permitted. Children must always be accompanied by their parent/ carer, who must accept full responsibility for them. A walk around the church is suitable for accompanied young children; there is a wide variety of stained glass, carved musical angels, stone carvings of people, animals curious mythical figures and more for children to find, meaning that families with older children can take turns to climb the Tower.
Appropriate clothing must be worn, and no loose garments or bags are permitted. Bags can be stored safely for the duration of the Tower Climb. Sensible footwear is essential, and no participants wearing high heels, flip flops, in bare feet or other footwear which the stewards deem to be unsafe, will be admitted. Sandals must be fastened front and back. Cameras must be securely fastened by a neck or wrist strap. Camera phones are permitted, provided participants exercise caution when using them over drops both inside and outside the church. Mobile phones must not be used to make calls or send text messages whilst inside the church and Tower.
Facilities & refreshments
There are toilets in the church that may be used by participants. General public toilets are available in the town centre.
Subject to volunteer availability, it may be possible to provide tea and coffee for Groups at an additional cost. Please ask for details when making an enquiry.
There are a wide variety of cafes, bakeries, cakeshops, restaurants, pubs etc all within easy walking distance of the church. Many serve or sell local produce, food, and beers.
The nearest (paid) car parking is at St Giles Way, LL13 7AD. Access from this car park into the churchyard is up a short but steep flight of steps. There is a second (paid) carpark near the church under the Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre, LL13 8DG.
There is a dedicated and signposted coach route into the town centre. A set down/ pick up point on High Street is only 100m from the church porch and in the main shopping area. By prior booking only there is secure, free parking just 200m away (book through the booking link on this page, Wrexham Visitor Information Centre).
Accessibility
All participants must be suitably fit and able to climb and descend, without assistance.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Intending participants with a fear of heights or confined spaces should consider carefully their suitability for the Tower Climb.
Also, it is not recommended for any of the following persons:
- Those with breathing difficulties
- Those with heart conditions
- Those with joint problems
- Those with balance problems
- Those with reduced mobility
- Those who are pregnant
- Those who have any other medical condition which could put them at risk, or be worsened by the Tower Climb
Also, the church requests that all asthma sufferers must bring their inhalers with them on the Tower Climb.
We reserve the right to refuse intending participants if they are deemed to be in breach of any of the special requirements detailed here or above.
A walk round tour of the church interior is available, which has generally level access. There are free leaflets available in eleven languages.
