Holy Cross dates from the 12th century with two chapels added in the 14th century. Points of interest are a large stained glass window by Capronnier, a monument to Sir Richard de Westcote (the earliest known inhabitant of the village) and a full peal of six bells. In the churchyard lies the grave of Viscount Montgomery of Alamein.
