Built on the site of a 15th century chapel for rest, half way between Bolton and Fountains Abbeys; St Saviour's is beautiful, simple church in the heart of the Nidderdale AONB.

St Mary is a fine example of a church overseeing a traditional rural Wold village, the village has high hills around it and a sparkling stream beginning its journey which ends with the marsh and sea.

Enter through the timber framed porch to discover an interesting mix of Norman, Georgian and Victorian architecture.

Always open to visitors, St Martin's is a peaceful, numinous church where people come to meditate and be refreshed.

There seem to have been chapels of the Knights Templars and Hospitallers in Wetherby but these would be distinct from a parochial chapel for the use of the ordinary laity.

St Nicholas is beautiful in its simplicity, letting in plenty of natural light, with a clear window behind the altar which looks out on the surrounding farmland.

This fine medieval marshland parish church with its impressive tower, can be found situated in the former market town of Burgh le Marsh.

A great feature of the church is the splendid barrel organ, the only one in working order still to be found in a Lincolnshire church.
