The original church was built in the 12th century but the current St Augustine’s was designed by famous 19th century architect William Butterfield.

According to architectural historian Nicholas Pevsner, this is ‘the stateliest church of its time in the county’, rebuilt in 1720 on an ancient site, St Andrew’s.

St Marks was designed by Keble of the Oxford Movement and stands in a wooded glade at the heart of the village of Ampfield.

St Matthew’s is one of a local group of Keble churches.
