On the 6th October 2019 our chapel celebrates 150 years continuous worship.

Lying within a few yards of the famous River Tweed, a very substantial church, rich in history and an architectural gem.

Welsh architect John Humphreys built what is said to be perhaps the most ambitious chapel in Wales in 1870, for the then huge sum of £18,000.

St Mary's is built of the local, golden Ham stone, and has features from the 12th century to the 20th.

The present church was built in 1881 on the site of a chapel, Capel Mair, which dated from Norman times.

Built in 1865 of local sandstone with a Gothic style bell tower, excellent stained glass windows and a series of 25 frescoes decorating the interior.

Lovely dressed Hamstone, with a stone and tiled roof and a painted early Victorian interior.

A church building dedicated to local Saint Tysul, who was related to St David, and after whom the town Llandysul is named; Llan means 'church of' or 'sacred place'.

Beautiful 13th/14th century parish church with pinnacled tower with battlements, numerous gargoyles and a canonical sundial.
