England
Historic England is the public body that champions and protects England's historic places. It is funded largely by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
English Heritage separated into two organisations in April 2015. English Heritage is now a charity which cares for the National Heritage Collection of more than 400 historic places and their collections, Historic England has become the public body that looks after England's historic environment.
