Chantry Chapel of St Mary the Virgin

The chapel was built in the mid 14th century when the stone bridge replaced a wooden one, although the upper part, including the west front, was rebuilt in 1847-8.
The present building dates back to the early 15th century and has been altered little. It is cruciform in shape and comprises of a nave without aisles, a central bell tower, north and south transepts and a porch on the south side.
