Setting and position play a crucial part in the impact of the building and Long Melford's Holy Trinity is perhaps the finest example of this.

St Mary's was built in 1856, on the site of several earlier churches, by the Londonderry family who lived at nearby Wynyard Hall.

All Saints church is a Grade II listed building and is described as being a magnificent and prominent building dating back to the 12th century situated in a very picturesque part of the village.
