All Saints is England's only elliptical church and the finest Georgian church interior in the northeast.

The churchyard site was an ancient burial ground going back to Anglo Saxon times, a buried Celtic cross, dating back to approximately 750AD, now sits proudly in the entrance porch.

Traditionally and affectionately known as the Cathedral of the Forest, dating back to the early 1200s before the village of Newland came into existence.

Newlands church, set in the midst of the lovely Newlands Valley, is a haven of peace and tranquillity, it can be traced back to the mid 16th century, although it was substantially refurbished in the 1840s.

One of the Isle of Wight's major churches, it is a Geometric Decorated style with liberal use of cusped tracery showing inspiration of A W N Pugin Gothic Architecture.
