Strata Florida is an enchanting spot in the western heartlands of Wales among the folds of the Cambrian Mountains.

St Saviour's was built in 1662 reusing stone from a ruined chapel at nearby Ingleby, and is built in such a convincing style that from the outside only an expert could tell the true date.

This small church, which is a haven for peace and quiet, is situated beside the Wayfarers’ Walk, a short walk from Hinton Ampner and its National Trust property and church.

This noble medieval building remains the dominant architectural feature of this ancient market town. Its handsome tower and tall spire is strikingly visible.

Beautiful 13th/14th century parish church with pinnacled tower with battlements, numerous gargoyles and a canonical sundial.

The churchyard here is famously said to have inspired Thomas Gray to write his Elegy in a Country Churchyard in 1750, and he is buried close to the east wall of the church.

St Mary's is a beautiful Grade I listed church and is one of only two medieval churches that remain in Southampton, and it was even mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.

Dating from the 11th century, St Mary's has an interesting collection of stained glass, well worthy of a visit.
