A wonderful Welsh church with a 6th century foundation, and there the village (famed across Wales for its sheltered beach and tasty fish and chips) grew up around the church.

St Mary's church is the centrepiece of a substantial village green, unusual in the region and is home to two 5th to 6th century inscribed stones.

Our beautiful church was built in 1837/8 and was the first church designed by the renowned architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, a nephew of the then incumbent Revd Samuel King.
