Externally this church looks almost like a barn but once inside you will find a complete late Georgian interior, made even more so by our recent reintroduction of new timber windows.

Southwark Cathedral, once a priory church, is (as in monastic days) a centre for a pattern of daily worship within the English cathedral music tradition: a centre of teaching, of worship, prayer and pilgrimage, open and inclusive to all.

Our history is inexorably entwined with some of the most radical and progressive developments of the modern age, and yet the core principles at the centre of our congregation remain as true today as they were when the church began.
