Built to serve the local farming communities and those on the Gloucester to Sharpness canal, St John's is an attractive little church with beautiful modern stained glass windows and the interior roof is inspired by the upturned hull of a boat.

You could come here for the setting alone: beautiful green Herefordshire countryside, with the River Wye only a few yards away, and a churchyard full of trees, and snowdrops in the spring.

This Grade I church has a secluded setting next to the manor house.

Built on a prominent hillside at the heart of the village that was created at the same time, St Mary's was designed, built and given to the parish by the eminent Victorian architect, George Edmund Street, in memory of his second wife. It was consecrated in 1879.
