The materials used to build the walls of the church are fascinatingly diverse: reused Roman tiles, flint, clunch, local stone of various sorts, Caen stone from Normandy, and Tudor brick.
The inside of the church has a great deal of interest, including a massive oak chest from about 1200 and a font of about the same age, 15th and 16th century brasses in the chancel, and a tiny statuette of the Madonna and Child, dating from about 1300.
