The church was designed by architect Edward Street with wonderful stained glass windows and a large well kept churchyard with flower beds and bench seats so that both the church and churchyard are oases of peace.

Welcome to St Antony Coptic Orthodox Church, previously known as St Stephen’s church.

Rebuilt on the site of the medieval church, which was destroyed by a bomb on the night of 8th/9th May 1941, St Michael’s is built of concrete with Ancaster stone facings outside.

The church of St Nicholas is privately owned and falls in the grounds of Landwade Hall.

The church is of Norman origin but has undergone considerable changes to its layout over the years.

The tower of Finchingfield's church looks out over one of the best loved villagescapes in England, with its duck pond, green and charming old houses having been the subject of countless photos.
