All Saints is an ancient church with a fully thatched roof and full height octagonal tower, some Norman and medieval features, central to the village of Old Buckenham.

St Mary's was built by one Walter in 1100 AD.

Although our little church is relatively new (built 1848-1852) it was erected on a very ancient site.

All Saints dates from the late 13th century and has many architectural glories, including: a 15th century rood screen; hammer beam roof with carved angels; seven sacrament font (1467); two small fragments of medieval glass in the tracery of a window depicting an elephant (thought to be the only one in medieval glass in East Anglia) and a unicorn.

A place of prayer and contemplation set in a beautiful location.

From the churchyard there is a beautiful view over the little Glem Valley to the hall, seat of the Poleys (pronounced Pooley).

A church was founded on this site in 635 by St Aidan; the site of his death is marked by a shrine within the present church which dates from the end of the 12th century.
