Constructed in 1711 the Unitarian Meeting House is a grade I listed building is special in many ways, architecturally the finest in Bury St Edmunds, culturally and historically as a non-conformist place of worship to this day.

Although there is mention of a church in Barnby Dun in the Domesday Book, the present building is mainly 14th century, although the tower is 13th century.

The Polish Air Force and Royal Air Force served nearby at the former RAF Faldingworth and this is commemorated throughout the church including in a stained glass window and the porch gates.
