There has been a church on the site of St John’s for over 140 years, witnessing to God’s love among the people of Upper Norwood.

This beautiful place has been a focus for its community and for countless visitors for just shy of 800 years, with the best preserved Magna Carta of 1215.

Holy Trinity was built in the Gothic style from Kentish rag with white stone dressings and was consecrated in 1878.

This Roman Catholic church was built in 1847 to 48 by Augustus Welby Pugin in 14th century Gothic style.

The church was built c1230 by the Knights Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem.

The magnificent tower of St Mary Magdalene is a prominent feature of Taunton.

On the east coast of Suffolk and looking out to sea, it is rich in history, and there is a magnificent window by John Piper in memory of Benjamin Britten.
