The church was formerly a chapelry of the parish of Hartland and was one of the properties given to support Hartland Abbey at the time of Richard I.

More than 30 cast iron memorials are set into the floor of this medieval church.

Has one of Suffolk's prettiest round towers, and loveliest thatched roofs and the gargoyles on the south aisle are particularly characterful.

Built of plain brick with lancets.
