St Augustine is the only one of Hedon's three medieval churches to survive, the oldest part dating from 1190.

By the renowned 'rogue' architect EB Lamb in 1851 and described by Pevsner as ‘a veritable riot of forms, perverse and mischievous’, with interesting monuments and stained glass and standing in a tranquil setting in open countryside.

The church has a history which goes back over 900 years and there is a suggestion that it occupies a burial mound from the pre Christian era. This is a holy place where generations of worshippers have felt drawn to God.

St Peter's is a wonderful simple village church, 900 years old, originally built by the monks at nearby Meaux Abbey.

On the east coast of Suffolk and looking out to sea, it is rich in history, and there is a magnificent window by John Piper in memory of Benjamin Britten.

This ancient parish church is a small pantiled structure overlooking a large green to the south and west.
