An exceptionally fine church, St Mary’s bears witness to two substantial investments in its history.

The church building is one of the largest country churches in Shropshire, the oldest part of which is the Norman north transept.

This beautiful place has been a focus for its community and for countless visitors for just shy of 800 years, with the best preserved Magna Carta of 1215.
