Built in 1717, this is one of the finest Quaker meeting houses in the country.

It still retains many of its Georgian features, including a gallery that was originally for women, and a symbolic meeting house lantern.

The windows are particularly fascinating because they still have their original glazing bars and blown glass.

Nearby are 17th century cottages that were the original meeting house and which were subsequently used as a Quaker school.

The church tower is visible for miles around, and is in the 'Levels' style. The figures around the church roof are either gargoyles (water spouts) or Hunky Punks, a local name for grotesque carvings which are not gargoyles.
