Low Moor, Yorkshire
Originally built as a Chapel of Ease by the Squire of Royds Hall in 1606, it was named Wibsey Chapel of Ease and was part of the Parish of Bradford. It was consecrated in 1636. Originally, a simple gritstone, rectangular building. It was virtually rebuilt in1836, adding transepts, chancel, vestries, gallery, tower, belfry and spire, The gallery was removed in 1954 and the pews in the north and south aisles were also removed.
A major reordering took place in 1987 to make the church more suitable for congregation and community use. Offices were added, a kitchen, toilet facilities, storage space, and a multi-purpose upper lounge serviced by a lift to ensure access for all. Further reordering took place in 2009. The pews were removed from the nave and transepts and the chancel extended into the nave to provide improved facilities for concerts and other groups.
