There has been a Methodist Church on this site since 1804 and the current church was built in 1902. The renowned Wesleyan architect Mr John Wills was appointed to design the building which with the help of National Churches Trust has undergone major refurbishment and repair in 2004 and 2024.

Points of particular interest are a stained glass window of Joshua, in remembrance of those fallen in WWI and a gravestone which attracts interest of "Sarah, wife of Joseph Crawshaw" who was mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to 397 children.

It is also in a lovely setting, of interest to walkers.
