The church of St Aidan was designed by George Frederick Bodley, architect of various cathedrals and churches round the world, in 1894. The traditional interior is retained including the altars used in the orginal eastward position at every mass. In the church is a late Saxon font.

The mid 20th century reredos above the High Altar depicts Christ the King enthroned in majesty, with St Aidan & St Oswald. Various other religious images and icons may be found.

  • On the second Saturday of each month we have a Coffee Morning from 10am until 12noon. On the third Saturday of each month we have Messy Church at 4pm for crafts, celebration and tea. For details of services please see our website.
