A small ancient Northumbrian village church in a very quiet location with magnificent far reaching views in all directions. Lord Beveridge, the founder of the welfare state, and Connie Leathart, one of Britain's first female aviators, are buried in the churchyard. This church is haven of peace and tranquillity. It is also open to high winds and driving rain. Sturdy footwear and warm clothing recommended at all times. Rough pasture must be crossed to access the church.
