St Mary's is a Grade II* listed building, with many significant architectural specialities.

Aside from the memorials to Henry Jenkins, there is the fabulous Carpenter Chapel, which is richly decorated with Eden Nesfield tiles and Bas Relief plasterwork depicting biblical maritime and pastoral scenes.

The reredos is similarly tiled in Eden Nesfield tiles, over topped by a mural depicting angels ascending into heaven.
