St Mary's is a grade one listed historic building that is listed as one of the hundred best churches in Wales.

Once passing the remnants of a medieval preaching cross and crossing through the Davies wrought iron gates, one is struck immediately by the five and a half foot tall angels suspended above the nave since 1535. Similarly dated stained glass in the east window features a rare image of the Blessed Virgin Mary weeping.

In the heart of the village, the church is proximate to a community shop, the picturesque village and Offa's Dyke Path.
