Standing alone in the fields, accessible only by very swampy footpaths, this charming small church was first built in 1727.
Felton was built in 1853 and opened by the Lord Bishop of Hereford in 1854. As well as having a lovely churchyard, it contains an unusual pulpit, which was erected to commemorate a former rector of the church. The pulpit itself is made entirely of marble and was a spectacular way for Felton’s parishioners to show their appreciation for their rector of 30 years, Henry T Hill.
Inside can also be found three memorial plaques which remember some of Felton’s prominent military figures and their families from the early years of the 20th century.
