When dismantled the original tin chapel was taken to Hubbarts Bridge in Lincolnshire where it is now a residential premises.

The Press report from 1913 refers to the church and nearby school being built to meet the needs of one of the most progressive districts in Sheffield.

Tapton is an independent church run by the members through a monthly church meeting and anyone from 1913 would recognise the church although it has been sympathetically improved over the years.
