The church was originally built in 1647 but virtually rebuilt in 1882 by the architect Edward Witts. The three stage battlemented west tower was built in 1820. It is a plain rectangular aisleless church of five bays. A lintel from the original church over the priest's door is inscribed R.B-H.N1647.
