Houghtons of York are a well established (since 1995) family run business with a wealth of experience specialising in high quality architectural joinery and fine woodcarving for residential and commercial customers throughout the UK.
With joinery workshops based at Dunnington, York we directly employ a team of highly skilled joiners and woodcarvers who use traditional methods and materials to produce a broad range of bespoke commissioned work. Our works encompasses new, restoration, conservation, repairs and maintenance
From manufacturing new pews for private chapels to carrying out modifications and repairs to the pews at Hull Minster (the largest parish church in England) we have a wide range of experience both working on existing and creating new Pews, kneelers and Prie Dieu from the ground up.
