Promoting the National Churches Trust and your grant on social media
Your social media channels are really important ways to share news with your congregation, people who attend church activities and outreach, as well as with visitors to your building. We would be grateful if you could please post about the National Churches Trust and how our grant is helping your church. To help you do this, we’ve created a template for you below. Please feel free to adapt it to suit the needs of your church.
If there’s anything else we can do to support you, please email our Communications Manager, Rachael Adams, at rachael.adams@nationalchurchestrust.org
Template to adapt for social media
Here is some text you may like to use, but feel free to adapt it and tailor it to work for your audience. You may want to add more information about what the money will fund and how it will help your church congregation and your local community. You may also want to add images of your church as well to the posts.
We’re excited to share that we’ve received a grant from @NatChurchTrust that will help us to keep our church open and in good repair. You can find out more about the National Churches Trust at www.nationalchurchestrust.org

Further updates
Your social media accounts are great tools for updating people about where you’re at with your project, any milestones you hit and any further support you need. In doing this, it can help your congregation and local community feel more invested in your project.
Remember to wait until after you’ve sent out a press release and it’s been published before posting any big announcements, as this could make journalists less likely to publish the story.
