All Saints Church has held a central and supportive role in the Lobley Hill Community since its building by Canon Stevenson in 1939.

The land was originally owned by the Ravensworth estate and was built in memory of a member of the Ravensworth Liddell family. The fine painted Gothic reredos in the Lady Chapel is said to come from the Chapel at Ravensworth Castle. A panel of 16th century stained glass depicting the crucifixion brought from France by Canon Stevenson has recently been remounted and illuminated in the Lady Chapel as one of the focal points for private prayer.

In 1989, a modern stained glass window, designed by Brian Addison was incorporated into the an extension to the church, which provides a beautiful welcoming area into our church.
