Event : Building Sustainable Futures for Scottish Churches
Heritage, tourism, community, faith and climate
Join us at the wonderful Paisley Abbey to chat with funders and advisers all under one roof. They are there to help support all aspects of the work within your church building, whether it is from community, heritage, faith, tourism, or climate action sectors.
Whether you are a congregation looking to repair a roof or to expand your community outreach; or a community organisation considering how to prepare a business plan and get advice on which insurance you will need, there will be someone there to help.
Meet with the experts across the sectors and chat with churches, communities and organisations who have already tackled the challenges you are facing. Talks and stalls will enable you to discuss tourism, insurance, maintenance, income generation (contactless/online donations), eco-solutions, and much more with experts. We will be sharing ideas, inspiration, tips and practical support. The event will also be a great opportunity to network with those facing similar challenges and exchanging ideas and contacts.

Building Sustainable Futures
This event is for everyone who helps to care for a place of worship or former place of worship in community use in Scotland.
We want to keep churches open and in use. Churches, chapels and meeting houses are impressive, exciting and surprising places. Whether seeking quiet reflection access to critical community services, a warm welcome, a place to worship, or a space to explore, we believe they should be loved and supported. Available to all.
We are a charity that saves historic churches at risk. We work with communities to secure the future of their churches through expert conservation and creative regeneration. Funding for the work of the organisation and the churches in its care comes from grant applications, donations, and legacies.
Encourages and promotes public understanding of why it is important to protect Scotlands rich cultural and ecclesiastical heritage. We seek to advance the preservation, promotion and maintenance of Scotlands historical church architecture and to encourage churches to welcome visitors.
From its foundation in 1163 to the present day – worship in Paisley Abbey has been offered to God and hospitality extended to all pilgrims and visitors.
