St Mary the Virgin is a small medieval church with a Victorian round tower set in beautiful countryside on the edge of Weeting village. It sits adjacent to the ruins of 12th century Weeting castle. Parts of St Mary's dates to the 12th century and includes medieval graffiti near the south porch doorway.

The interior boasts late medieval windows in the south aisle and Victorian windows. Nine members of the Angerstein family are interred in a vault under the nave floor and there are a number of interesting memorial plaques to the Angersteins and other prominent families. The churchyard is a peaceful spot overlooking local farmland with a view of the castle.
