This enormous 'village' church is dedicated to St Kentigern (St Mungo), who came to Keswick in 553.
Crosthwaite, Cumbria
The present church was built in 1181, with many interesting elements dating from the 12th to the 16th century.
The elaborately carved font is one of the most remarkable objects, the base dating from 1395 and the bowl 16th century.
There are uniquely English consecration crosses of 1523 (nine inside the church, and three outside near the window openings), marking the spots where holy water was sprinkled.
