It was purchased by the Catholic Archdiocese of Cardiff in May 2012 and officially reopened in Dec 2016 by HRH Prince Charles.
This grade II listed building is an early example of Gothic Revival and was vacated by its Welsh speaking Presbyterian congregation, as it required extensive restoration. The purchase by the Catholic Archdiocese has retained the original fabric of the chapel while ensuring the social, cultural, architectural, religious heritage of this historic building and the Catholic story of the area is restored in stone and preserved by the Cornerstone project.
