Llandre, Ceredigion
The church is a haven of tranquility.
St Michael's church is at the head of a scenic valley; the listed Lychgate straddles a small stream.
The steeply wooded churchyard (probably unique in Wales) contains a 2,000 year old yew tree and many fine beech trees. Inscriptions on all graves have been recorded and can be viewed online. The church, with its fine stained glass windows is associated with a Holy Well, believed to have healing properties.
