A 15th century building was replaced in 1844-45 to plans by E H Lingen Barker. In 1926 the church was extended to the west by one bay, including a new bellcote and porch, to plans by J Coates Carter.
Inside there are some gorgeous details, including a 13th century font, 15th century tomb effigy and 14th century cross slab set into the chancel wall.
