St Luke

For 150 years St Luke's church has served its local community. Sitting right at the heart of the Malvern estate it is a hub of the local estate, a grit stone place of worship built in the Gothic revival style. As the area has become increasingly multicultural, so has the church.

People also enjoy the architecture of the church. Its beautiful inside, the interior has a 6 bay nave, quatrefoil columns, chamfered arches, large carved heads of evangelists and prophets between them, and arch brace timber roof trusses. On the north aisle wall, the stone pulpit front has been reset below a plaque commemorating Revd John Lobley, who died in 1887, during whose incumbency the church and school were built.
