With its whitewashed walls shining brightly against the green hillside behind, this rare octagonal church stands out for several reasons.
St Conan's Kirk is rated as one of the best churches to visit in Scotland.
Although only completed in 1930 it looks ancient. It has unique and interesting things to see, from stone circles to cloisters, an effigy of Robert the Bruce, amazing carvings and gargoyles and amazing views over Loch Awe.
The Kirk was designed and built by Walter Douglas-Campbell, although completed by his sister Helen and then a board of trustees after his death.
