But there it is, a campanile, colonnades and apse, and interior to match, with four enormous marble columns leading the eye to the east end with its golden mosaic of Christ in Glory.

The architect was JP Seddon, who created this remarkable building between 1874 and 1903 at the request of the then vicar, who did not like the chapel that stood there at the time.
