St James
Gloucester, Gloucestershire
St James is a light, bright Victorian church built to serve the people of Tredworth in the mid 19th century.

Tuffley, Gloucestershire
St Barnabas's church at Tuffley on the outskirts of Gloucester was built in 1938-40 to the designs of Nugent J Cachemaille-Day. It is an impressive reinterpretation of late Gothic form in a totally modern idiom. It has an austere, almost power station like presence outside, a massive brick block that conceals a light cathedral-like space within, surprisingly graceful after the solid mass of the exterior.
