A large Norman church dating from 11th century, the church has an unusual external, round access tower to bell chamber.

Victorian modifications to the roof; there are seven sepulchre tombs in the walls, 14th century knight in armour tomb cover, and a Bushel measure, in the church.

There is Victorian stained glass and one original window. Stone carving of St Peter and a Norman doorway thought to be Saxon.
