Knipton village lies adjacent to the grounds of Belvoir Castle, having historically been an estate village with many of the houses owned by The Duke of Rutland. Knipton is in north east Leicestershire, but only a couple of miles from the boundaries of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
