Our Grade I listed building was built in the mid 13th century, but there is evidence of an earlier church building here. The tower, porch and Lady Chapel were added in the 16th century, and the north aisle and organ loft added in the 19th century.

The Victorian stained glass is beautiful, and the church has a number of interesting monuments, including several to the Earls of Camden. Our oldest monument is to Sir William de Bryene, who died in 1395.Charles Robert Ashbee, an important figure in the Arts & Crafts movement, was our local church architect in the early 20th century, and is buried in the churchyard along with his in laws, the Forbes family. He designed the Celtic cross monument marking the burial site.

There are wonderful views from the back of the church over the North Downs.
