St Andrews church is on the edge of the Lake District. It is part of the Sacred Solway Churches Trail, where a group of unique churches can be discovered.

They were built from stone from Hadrians wall following the Norman conquest (1098 -1190). It is a simple, yet beautiful village church which has been at the heart of worship in Aikton parish for most of the last 1000 years. It is an architectural gem set in outstanding countryside.

Regular events

There are two services regularly held in St Andrews. Holy communion at 9.30am on the first Sunday in the month and a lay led service at 10.30am on the third Sunday in the month.
