Discover disaster and resurrection on this walk and visit to St Paul’s Cathedral.
St Paul’s is the Londoners church. Its where we come together to celebrate, commemorate and mourn.
The astonishing architecture of Christopher Wren makes the Cathedral a photographer’s heaven. Rising from the ashes of the Great Fire of 1666, St Paul’s became a symbol of resistance during World War II and is now a place of spirituality and humanity in the heart of the capital and the ‘national’ cathedral.
When access is open, we will climb the steps up to the Stone gallery to get a birds-eye view over the City. From the top, we descend to the crypt below to explore the tombs and monuments of heroes like Winston Churchill, Florence Nightingale and the Duke of Wellington. We will finish our visit in time for those wishing to attend evensong at 5pm.
Entrance fee to St Paul’s Cathedral included.
